Brownhill Learning Community

Vocational Courses

At Brownhill Learning Community, we consider practical experience to be the best way for students to learn how they are expected to conduct themselves in a work or training environment.

We have close links with ACE training, who, along with our in-house placements, offer a range of subjects for our students to experience.  All the vocational courses are linked to industry work experience.

Years 10 & 11

Vocational subjects are a valuable learning experience for any student and provide access to a range of accredited courses.

We are constantly updating and changing our courses to reflect the employment areas which are available in the Rochdale Borough and Greater Manchester areas.

In exceptional circumstances, Years 10 and 11 may access the courses at the discretion of the Learning Support Lead.

Timetable of Vocational Courses

All of the courses listed below are studied for 1 year and allow for progression into further education either through college of a local training provider.
