Free School Meal Scam

We have been notified by the Department of Education that, nationally, fraudsters have been sending out scam e-mails and texts to parents pretending to be from the Department of Education.

These e-mails state “As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported”.

The DoE have confirmed that this is a scam email and is not official. Under no circumstances send any information to them.
